The following are general guidelines on how to measure your blinds.

Consider using an outside face mount if the following situations apply to your window:

  • The window does not have enough depth to mount the bracket inside the frame.
  • The width of the blind does not fit inside the window frame.
  • Do not take measurements from house plans.
  • Measure every window as measurements may vary between windows.
  • You have a metal window frame.
  • Your window has door handles, locks or fittings that may interfere with the blind.

Inside Mount (hangs inside the window recess)

  • Step 1 - Take measurements of the recess width from left to right. Do this in three places - top, centre and bottom of the recess (inside the frame) Inside Mount (hangs inside the window recess)

  • Step 2 - The shortest measurement should be used to determine the blind size required. Drop can be adjusted once mounted, using the chain. The maximum drop is 210cm.

Note:

The actual fabric of the roller blind will be less than the overall measurement to allow for brackets and components. This may create an unavoidable light gap. This should be considered when choosing mount type.

Outside Mount (mounted on the architrave or outside the frame)

Follow these instructions if you want your blind to hang outside the window recess:

  • Step 1 - Measure the width of where you would like your blind to be mounted outside the frame.

  • Step 2 - This measurement should be used to determine the blind size required. Drop can be adjusted once mounted, using the chain. The maximum drop is 210cm.
